Mikel Arteta, manager of Arsenal, has been awarded Premier League manager of the month for September.

The Gunners were defeated at Brentford on the first day of the season, followed by a home loss to Chelsea and a 5-0 hammering at Manchester City.

However, Arteta's men turned their fortunes around with a 1-0 win against Norwich, with captain Pierre-Emerick Aubameyang scoring the game's only goal.

Martin Odegaard, Arteta's new signing from Real Madrid, scored from a well-taken free-kick to give Arsenal another 1-0 victory over Burnley.

Arsenal defeated Tottenham by three goals to one in the north London derby, which was won by the Spaniard.

In response to the honor, Arteta told Arsenal Media that it represents the team's solidarity in the face of adversity.

"This medal marks the way everyone has come together, worked together, and remained positive in difficult times," he remarked.

Despite starting the season at the bottom of the Premier League table, Arsenal has steadily improved their position.
